Link Your Accounting System and Stop Guessing at Inventory
Bringing customers and your parts catalog in from QuickBooks so NORDVEST can tell you when a service is about to run into a shortage.
Most shops already keep a customer list and an item list in QuickBooks. The problem is not that the data doesn't exist — it's that it lives somewhere the service side never looks.
A dispatcher scheduling next week's visits has no reason to open the accounting software first. A technician packing the truck has even less reason to. So the customer list drifts into two versions, and inventory counts stay wherever the last stocktake left them.
Connecting QuickBooks to NORDVEST is an attempt to close that gap without asking anyone to keep two systems in sync by hand.
Bring customers in once
When you connect QuickBooks®, NORDVEST pulls your customer list in a read-only sync. Nothing is pushed back — QuickBooks stays the source of truth for the accounting side, and NORDVEST just gets a current copy to work from.
From there, each QuickBooks customer can be matched to the right NORDVEST customer, or created fresh if it doesn't exist yet. The matching tools handle the obvious cases — same name, same account — so a new connection doesn't turn into a week of manual linking.
Bring the parts catalog in the same way
Items work the same way. Your QuickBooks item list — the parts, filters, and consumables you already bill for — syncs into NORDVEST and links to the parts you track for service.
This is the part that matters most. Once a QuickBooks item is linked to a NORDVEST part, the two stop being separate facts you have to remember to reconcile. One part, one identity, visible from both the service side and the accounting side.
Then inventory can talk before the truck rolls
Linking the catalog is what makes shortage warnings possible in the first place. NORDVEST already predicts which parts a scheduled service is likely to need, based on component intervals and run hours. With QuickBooks items linked, that prediction can be checked against the on-hand quantity from your last sync.
If a job is scheduled and the part it's likely to need is low or out, that's visible before the technician leaves, not after they've made the drive and found an empty shelf.
